Fire District Meeting Information

Fire District meetings occur on the second Monday of each month at 7:00 PM at Station 2, located at 750 Grooms Rd, Rexford, NY 12148. These meetings are open to the public. Additionally, budget workshops are scheduled for September, with a public hearing to finalize the budget in October, also at Station 2.

Fire District Election Schedule

The Annual Election for the Vischer Ferry Fire District will be held on December 12, 2023, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Vischer Ferry Fire House, 360 Riverview Rd, Rexford, NY. The election is for one (1) Commissioner for a five (5) year term, commencing January 1, 2024, and ending December 31, 2028. All voters registered with the Saratoga County Board of Elections by November 2022 are eligible to vote.

Petitions for candidates for District Office are now available. Candidates must file their names with the Secretary of the Vischer Ferry Fire District, Karan Donohue, at 750 Grooms Rd, Rexford, NY, by November 2023.

The Budget Process

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that a public hearing for the proposed 2026 budget of the Vischer Ferry Fire District will be held on Tuesday, October 21 2025, at 7:30 PM at the Vischer Ferry Fire Station #2, located at 750 Grooms Rd, Rexford. A copy of the proposed budget is available to view at the Town Clerk’s office, 1 Town Hall Plaza, Clifton Park and the Office of the Board of Fire Commissioners located at 750 Grooms Road, Rexford. By order of the Board of Fire Commissioners, Vischer Ferry Fire District, Town of Clifton Park, Saratoga County, New York. A copy of the budget is also posted below:
